Wow, you have quite a list ! If you like reading the Puritans, check out “The Bruised Reed” by Richard Sibbes. Comforting and convicting at the same time. J.C. Ryle’s “Practical Religion” was the best book I read last year. You can find these fairly cheap on Amazon.

Jacque, I actually don’t own those but when i get there on the list, i’m planning on buying them. they’ve both been ones i’ve wanted for a while. and sure, when i’m done you’re more then welcome to read them! :)
midnightrun, thanks! i’ll have to check those out. i’ve read excerpts from both the bruised reed and practical religion but never the whole thing.

Nice list! A Praying Life by Paul Miller is great.
Believing God by RC Sproul Jr
Counsel from The Cross by Elyse Fitzpatrick is wonderful, very gospel centered, never seen a book about counseling that counseled!
Blessings

A few books on your list that I really want to read soon:

Thanks for being a motivator to read some solid, Christ-centered, gospel-saturated books.
Keep up the insightful posts Emily.
Soli Deo Gloria.
