peace

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.  Isaiah 26:3

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication wiht thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7

Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.  Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature… You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.  But now you must rid yourself of all such things as these… Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace…. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  Colossians 3:1-15

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.  Psalm 32:8

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.  If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.  But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.  If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrightouesness.  1 John 1:4-9

In my alarm I said “I am cut off from your sight!”  Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.  Love the LORD all his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full.  Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.  Psalm 31:22-24

And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.  Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize withour weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.  Let us then wiht confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:13 – 16
